As a French Canadian, Annick Legault leverages a special relationship with French vendors. A native French speaker, Legault has developed connections when meeting merchants and she shows a great deal of gratitude to them for helping her bring the best pieces back to the States. “I felt so thankful and fortunate on my trip to France with Melissa this past spring. All the people we met were kind, generous, helpful, and always open to sharing their knowledge. They opened their doors to us as we traveled to different regions and we had a fantastic time scouting for unique items! They took me under their wings and we keep in touch throughout the year. I am looking forward to seeing them again on my next trip!”
After the store’s ten years in business, Legault has no plans to abandon the proven and successful approach Scout Vintage has established in the community. While preserving the familiar structural layout that clients have grown accustomed to, she aspires to infuse a greater essence of the products and styles she grew up with. Legault’s heritage will play into her envisioned future of Scout Vintage, by enhancing the shop design with a more pronounced French flair.
